“We learn by practice, whether it means to learn to dance, by practicing dancing or learn to live by practicing living. In each it is the performance of a dedicated practice set of acts, physical or intellectual, from which comes shape of achievement, a sense of one’s being, a satisfaction of spirit. One becomes in some area an athlete of God”
Paavai Nrithyalaya is yet another milestone in the history of Paavai Institutions which identify potential learners in their respective area of interest in order that their skills and talents can be nurtured in a professional environment. Paavai Nrithyalaya, in particular is founded on the premise of fostering traditional Indian Classical dance which has made a remarkable contribution to the cultural, aesthetic and spiritual upliftment of people.
I am sure that the Expert faculty of the academy as well as the wonderful infrastructure needed for training facility would enable all the dance enthusiasts to make their passion, a profession. Grasping the nuances of an art form requires years of training and practice and the ‘Arangetram’ which follows after this, is meant not only to showcase the learners talents and hardwork, but also to gain an understanding and appreciation of the entire art form.
I am happy that the students are going to perform their ‘Arangetram’ with agility, steadiness, graceful lines, balance, intelligence, dedication, determination, devotion, concentration, creativity, expression and sculpturesque poses.
I am confident that our Paavai Nrithyalaya would provide quality dance training and make dance available to all age group. Remember that great dancers are not great because of the technique; they are great because of their passion. Therefore cultivate your passion and get empowered through this performing art.
My Best wishes.
Chairman, Paavai Institutions
